About the game

ARC Raiders

Embark Studios · Embark Studios

The ARC Raiders quests in order start with one name: Picking Up The Pieces, from Shani. From there the main questline branches into 122 quests on the ARC Raiders Wiki as of October 29, 2026, and almost all of them hang off a single hub, Off The Radar, which opens nine quests at once. If you came here for the Hullcracker, the short version is less fun. Tian Wen stopped selling it in Frozen Trail 2.0, and the steady way to its blueprint is a Tian Wen quest called The Major's Footlocker.

So this is the whole list, in an order you can actually play, with the quest that unlocks each one. Then the eight quests that pay a blueprint, and how deep each one sits.

How the ARC Raiders quest order works

There is no single line. The wiki describes "an interconnected chain of 122 quests", and its own table carries a warning that it lists them "in a non-chronological order". The tree image above that table is labelled outdated. Embark did tidy the in-game side in Frozen Trail: the 2.0 notes say the update "Updated quest list sorting, making progression easier to follow." Helpful in the menu. Less helpful when you want to know what is coming three quests from now.

Here is how the chain behaves, going by the wiki's quest pages:

  • You start with Shani. Picking Up The Pieces opens Clearer Skies and Trash Into Treasure.
  • Off The Radar needs both of those. Its page says Shani gives it "after completing Clearer Skies and Trash Into Treasure". Some later quests also list two parents, so read the last column as "finish all of these".
  • Off The Radar is the hub. It opens A Bad Feeling, A First Foothold, Battening Down, Shoring Up Defenses, Boarding The Frigate, Exploring Pendola Pass, Sizing Things Up, To The Skies and Clean Hands. Nine branches from one quest.
  • Two quests have no parent at all. Nothing Ventured is, in the wiki's words, "a hidden Quest given by Apollo", and The First Nomads is "a hidden Quest given by Shani". Neither lists a prerequisite, so they may simply appear.

Our call: do Off The Radar in your first session. Everything you'll want later (the Pendola Pass chain, the Riven Tides pair, most of Celeste's line) is downstream of it.

All 122 ARC Raiders quests in order

Read it top to bottom and you never meet a quest before the one that opens it. We built this order from the wiki's prerequisite links and kept the wiki's own row order wherever the links allowed (method at the bottom). "Any" means the wiki lists no map; "Not listed" means its location field is empty. One name differs from the wiki: it spells the last Spaceport photo quest "Where Everything Falls", while Destructoid, ARC Tracker and Raidex all call it When Everything Falls, and so do we.

ARC Raiders quests that give blueprints

Eight quests pay a blueprint, per their wiki pages. This is the part of the list people actually search for, partly because players say several of these blueprints were briefly sold for Cred before the patch.

Nothing VenturedApolloDeadline (bonus reward)None listed

"Quests upstream" counts every quest above that one in the wiki's prerequisite links. It is a floor for how far into the questline you need to be, not a time estimate.

Greasing Her Palms comes first and costs almost nothing extra: Celeste hands it out after A Better Use. Take it. A Lure Grenade blueprint this early is a gift.

Sparks Fly asks you to "Destroy a Hornet with a Trigger 'Nade or Snap Blast Grenade" and pays the Trigger 'Nade blueprint. Seven quests in. Also take it.

Test Case is Apollo's: deliver a Fireball Burner and a Firefly Burner, among other steps, for the Fireworks Box blueprint. Nine quests in, on Apollo's side branch, so it rarely gets in the way.

Industrial Espionage is Tian Wen's Buried City quest after Eyes On The Prize, and it pays the Burletta blueprint. Seventeen quests deep, and on the same branch as the Hullcracker, so you will pass it anyway.

The Major's Footlocker is the big one. Tian Wen gives it "after completing A Symbol Of Unification", it sends you to "Search for Major Aiva's mementos in the apartments northwest of The Dam", and the reward is the Hullcracker blueprint. Why it matters now: Embark's 2.0 notes say "Tian Wen will no longer sell Anvil and Hullcracker offers. They will, instead, be part of the weekly Nomadic Envoys rotation." So the quest is the steady route. The envoy rotation is a maybe, week to week.

Worth Your Salt (Celeste, after Groundbreaking, Spaceport) pays the Vita Spray blueprint, and Last Entry (Shani, after Furtive Meetings, Stella Montis) pays the Yellow Light Stick blueprint. Both are 40-plus quests deep. Don't chase them. They come.

Nothing Ventured is the odd one. It's hidden, it has no listed prerequisite, and the Deadline Blueprint is a bonus reward on top of the main payout (8,000 XP plus a Deadline and a Wolfpack). If Apollo offers it, say yes.

ARC Raiders quests by trader

Some readers search "Shani quests in order" or "Tian Wen quests in order". Fair. The wiki's export splits the 122 like this:

TraderQuests
Shani38
Celeste32
Apollo19
Tian Wen18
Lance11
Nomadic Envoys4

To get one trader's quests in order, filter the big table by the Trader column. The order holds, because the table never lists a quest above its prerequisite. Shani and Celeste between them hand out more than half the list. Tian Wen's branch holds two of the blueprint quests, the Hullcracker included. The vendor leveling guide covers what each trader sells once you are friendly with them.

Which update added which quests

The wiki tags 59 of the 122 with the update that introduced them. The other 63 carry no tag.

Update tag on the wikiQuests

Frozen Trail now matches Embark's notes: "22 new quests added", and the wiki tags 22. On October 26 it tagged 17; the last five, Home To Roost, Someone Else's Shoes, Empathetic Prototypes, When Everything Falls and The First Nomads, are Shani, Celeste and Lance quests on Blue Gate, Stella Montis and Spaceport. Four of them form a side chain that starts after A Wrench in the Works. Our Frozen Trail quests guide covers each one with objectives and XP.

Quests locked to one map

Another 23 say "Any", 15 list more than one map, and 2 list none. The practical read: if you only play Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City, you will stall on the Blue Gate and Stella Montis stretches. Rotate maps before the chain forces you to.

What players are saying

The Hullcracker change caught people mid-habit. On October 8, Reddit user Kurnelk1 posted "Hullcracker has gone from Tian Wen!!!" with a single line of body text: "I’ve just bought a padded stock from muscle memory." (thread)

Three days later, Jack1ngton explained a trickier spot: "I chose the option to skip the quests this time around," then asked "how I'm supposed to get the quest related BPs (particularly the hullcracker) if I'm not running the old quests?" (thread). The replies point two ways. One player says "Shani had the Hullcracker, Burletta and Trigger Nade blueprints for sale for 150 Cred each" before the patch (comment), and another says "You’ll eventually be able to craft one with the new workbench once you level it up and get enough research points" (comment). We could not confirm either from an Embark source, so treat them as player reports (our Outpost guide covers what Embark has said about the research station). The quest route above is what the wiki lists today.

Our take

The quest list is long, but it is not hard to follow once you see the shape. Shani's opener, Off The Radar, then nine branches you can take at your own pace. What bothers us is how much now hangs on it. In one patch the Hullcracker and Anvil left Tian Wen's shelf for a weekly rotation, and a player who took a skip option says he found out afterwards that the quest blueprints went with the quests. If you are newer, that's actually good news: play the chain and the Lure Grenade, Trigger 'Nade, Burletta and Hullcracker blueprints arrive on the way, no shop timing involved.

We'd do it like this. Off The Radar on day one. Celeste's A Better Use into Greasing Her Palms next, for the Lure Grenade. Then lean on Tian Wen's branch until The Major's Footlocker pays out. Everything else can wait for the maps you were going to play anyway. New to the game entirely? Our beginner guide covers loadouts first.

How we checked this

We haven't played these quests. On October 26, 2026 we exported the wiki's quest data (117 rows with trader, map and the "next quest" links), rebuilt the prerequisite graph and sorted it so every quest sits below the ones that open it, keeping the wiki's own row order wherever the links allowed. On October 29 we ran the same export again: 122 rows, and the wiki had reshuffled its table, so the order above follows the new one. Again only one row had to move: the wiki lists Reduced to Rubble above its prerequisite, A First Foothold. We checked the five new quests against ARC Tracker, which agrees on who gives each one and which quest comes before and after, and against Raidex's list of 123, which adds Disrupting the Frigate. We then opened the wiki page of each blueprint quest to confirm the reward and who gives it, and checked Embark's Frozen Trail 2.0 notes for the quest and Hullcracker changes. We also stepped through the official Frozen Trail launch trailer: the end card at 1:27 reads "Frozen Trail, live October 8", and the card at 1:48 announces the free week, October 8 to 12. The frames we pulled show no quest screens, so the trailer backs the dates, not the list.
